Accessibility Service

Why Savio uses it: Savio uses Android's Accessibility Service to detect when you open apps that you have chosen to limit or block, and to recognise when a short-video screen (such as Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts) is playing so it can block the feed immediately.

• Selective Blocking: Long-form videos, search, and other features in the same apps are not blocked.
• Zero Content Extraction: Savio does NOT read typed text, personal messages, keystrokes, or passwords.
• No Screen Recording or Sharing: Savio does not collect, record, or share what appears on your screen.

VPN Service (Safe DNS Filtering)

Why Savio uses it: If you turn on adult content blocking, Savio requests your approval for Android's VPN permission.

• Savio runs a local VPN purely to filter DNS requests on your device and block adult or harmful websites.
• Savio does not route your network traffic through remote third-party proxy servers and does not monitor or log your browsing history.

Foreground Service

Why Savio uses it: Savio runs an active foreground service while a screen time timer, focus timer, Pomodoro timer, or app block is in progress.

• Ensures that timing intervals and block sessions remain accurate even when the screen is locked or another app is running.
• Displays a persistent, manageable notification allowing you to view remaining session time and control active timers.

• Usage Statistics & Streaks: Data regarding your focus streaks, timer completion, and app usage limits are stored locally on your device.
• AI Focus Coach Reflections: Daily reflection prompts and personalized focus tips are processed to support your habit formation without transmitting your sensitive private files.
• No Personal Data Sale: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers or third-party data brokers.
